Hey guys,I'm trying to lower my 5K time. Do you guys have any workout ideas and some what a typical week should consist of?
Thanks

Give us some more info ie. age, weight, what your current training looks like.
Monday: Run
Tuesday: Workout
Wednesday: Run
Thursday: Workout
Friday: Run
Saturday: Long Run
Sunday: short/easy run or day off
I'd suggest doing fartleks and tempos. Those, combined with consistent training are really all you need to show increased fitness for you. We really need more info if you would like more help though.
What is your typical weekly mileage? What's your running history? The advice is highly dependent on more information. For example, if you're new to running, trying to lose weight, and doing low mileage, just focusing on consistency and running more in general will go a long way... You don't need to worry too much about specific workouts. Run easy most of the time and occasionally run faster.. But if you've been doing it for a while and are lacking basic speed, then the advice changes. In any case, tempo runs are a great workout to get faster. Run anywhere from 3 to 8 (if new, don't do 8) miles at a pace that is hard but manageable. If you've been doing it a while and need to get some speed, try doing some 200m repeats or practice sprinting or running up hills etc..
