I am planning on running a PR next Saturday for the 5k. I've been training really hard, putting in a lot of hours and want this to be a good one. It is my last road race for the summer since I will then be focusing on prepping for the upcoming XC season. Nowhere online says how to taper for a goal 5k race. All I see is tapering for 10k and up. I was planning on doing something monday and a speed workout on tuesday, take off wednesday, thursday easy run with some strides, and take off friday to come strong for 7:30am on Saturday. I am just not positive on how many days of tapering is necessary, if even for a 3.1
