seems to me if the guy is a former d1 runner, he cant be that old. kelly christian is showing he is a stud this year though. definate top three material.

Kelly Christianson will be one of the individuals vying for the top spot at nationals. He has proven he is ready to race. The rest of the team didn't impress to much though. When is Banks going to step up.
just like he did last year?
On the women's side:
sawtelle from IUP
Men's side:
not me.
I know absoulutely nothing about DII, but saw Christiansen beat Vaughn at the Shootout yesterday. How do his results stack up with the rest of DII? Does he have a shot?
Joe Barnette.
Peter Kosgei from Harding will be hard to beat. He ran 2400 at OSU. Everyone is running pretty average. Aden ran mid 24.00's at Great American. The rest of Adams were pretty avetrage. As for Banks from WSC, I am beginning to loose faith. He is a totally different runner from the guy he was 2years ago.
Look out for Nate Peck (Grand Valley). Like Nick Cordes, only more durable.
Daniel Rojas from Cal Poly Pomona won the Pre-National meet in a course record 24:58 and came back this weekend at UCR and set another course record of 24:16. The kicker is that everyone is saying that the course at UCR changed this year and is longer, but he still beat the old course record. He ran 14:18 as a soph. at Mt. SAC!
Peck is very solid. He closed quite hard at Loyola. When we last saw the leaders he was in 5th or so and ended 2nd outkicking some solid competition. If it would have been a 10k he might have caught Anderson.
that joe kid ran for our school and i am sorry to say but he is the biggest pussy i have ever met in my life. that kind will never be any good!
whatever, grand valley talks themselves up so much. where was this kid in track nationals?
after this weekend's performance, I would definitely add Christiansen and perhaps Bodor to the list of contenders
someone from lees mcrae is talking smack? whats wrong with putting your butt on the line by going and running with one of the greatest running programs of all time and seeing how fast you can become? how many miles a week are you running and what is your teams five man average? some people choose mediocrity, some choose to work their butts off and go after greatness.
He was redshirted. Hoe bag.
he closed hard, so he had a shot at winning? just shows he didnt have the guts to stick it out during the race. what powerhouse runner though? is he faster than pecks 4:20 mile pr? hard to believe. i love your logic saying he could win though. so if the race was a half-marathon, he would have DOMINATED, right? i almost got kicked down by a 400m guy once in a 800m. so if the race was a mile, i would have probably lost, a 5k, i would have out right got smoked.
bump
He should have the course record at UCR since it is a brand new course. Rojas is tough, though, and Rojas and Mark Batres make a good one-two punch. Three, four and five are costing them in the rankings, however...
Holland Nass:
If you notice I said that, “The kicker is that everyone is saying that the course at UCR changed this year and is longer, but he still beat the old course record.” It’s obvious that with a new course there will be a new course record, that’s expected. What is intriguing is the course is 160m further than last year and he still beat the old course record. Do I think he’ll win nats? Only time will tell.
I am assuming you were talking to me, and yes since Regionals and Nationals are 10k, I believe my post is pretty legit. GVSU will only get better as the races get longer. That especially goes for Peck.
