Any ideas? Who's back from last year? Any sleepers?
The weather's cooling down, but the races are just heating up, so let's start the predictions.

Are you talking guys or girls?
Kosgei (Harding)
Solis (Adams)
Aden (Adams)
Martinez (Adams)
Manirakiza (ACU)
Okello (ACU)
Banks (Western)
there are a few others I'd throw in there, but I'm gonna wait for another weekend or two of results before throwing them out there.
why not both?
I think brandon dart will from Northwest Missouri Univeristy. This guy is running just amazing. He ran an impressive 26:56 at the roy griak. Best of luck to him and the rest of his team.
Banks can't even crack the top 3 on his team let alone win nationals. TWO WORDS:
WASHED UP!!!
Rich Tveden!
perhaps, but I don't think he was their top dog the year he took 4th at nattys either (that is until that day).
Kid's got talent, and there's still time left in the season to improve fitness. He shouldn't be counted out.
Kosgei should win if he's on. His 19:08 was on a course Rotich ran 19:36 on the year before. Word was he was sick at his last race. Martinez is looking like a stud but I don't think he has the strength to win a 10 XC title on a strength course. Mutai from Kennesaw could win easily if he decided he wanted to train year round instead of sit on his butt all year, train for a month and finish top three. Abilene is supposed to have a guy who is better than Manirikiza over the longer stuff, so he has to be a threat. Ngetich from Hawaii is redshirting this year, so won't be a factor.
BYU HAWAII girl
i think lhu's billy buckenymeyer will win the NCAA d II race because he is the man, no doubt the best talent in the country this year
Everyone is forgetting about Western State's new Hungarians. Both Oliver Bodor and Agnes Kroneraft are two of the best runners in Hungary. Bodor dominated the Division I Missouri Valley Conference the last two years running 8:01 in the indoor 3k and I believe top 20 at the Division I Cross Country Nationals. They will probably not show top form until they race at sea level.
I forgot to mention that Agnes also dominated the Missouri Valley Conference last year. She won the 1500m, 3000m and I believe the 5000m last year after red-shirting Cross.
Craig Eckstein
that'll be the day
In the know, How's your racing been going? (or is it still all just pace work for the others on that team?)
We here, think you have a real good shot at breaking 26 minutes this year....
Come on, even a Southeast team could come close to dominating the Missouri Valley conference. Mr.Hungarian can't even beat his teammates, so how can he win a national title?
What about Luke Baltrusch of Augustana? He really came on in track last year, and rumors have it he is in even better shape this year. He will be running with the big dogs this year.
