Any of you serious/sub-elite runners train in the Adidas Energy Boost? If so, what do you like about it?

No. Returned them. The traction is terrible. Very slippery. Wish they had the Continental outsole.

Try the Glide Boost, which does have the Continental rubber on the outsole.
I run 50-60 miles per week in the energy boosts - I think the midsole is excellent but the upper is weird - doesn't quite fit me right, and feels a little unstructured.
I live in a wet place but have never had any traction issues.
I'm not sub elite but do easy runs normally at 7 minute pace
I like the shoes - currently my favorite trainers.
I think they're really great shoes. The midsole is amazing and the boost technology feels very springy and light yet not too bouncy.
I run in the Adios Boost, not Energy. The midsole is really great. The upper is ridiculously uncomfortable.. It feels very tight. Maybe It is good for runners that have narrow feet. Other than that, I would suggest another boost model.
yasker's yarn -
You may try the new upper on Energy Boost that hits this summer. It's an engineered mesh in the vamp area. Perhaps this will be more to your liking.
Overall, by summer 2014 there will be several new models with Boost, but for this crowd below might be most relevant
Response Boost (both mesh and techfit upper)
Adizero Boston Boost
Supernova Sequence Boost
I actually think that the adios boost is pretty wide. At least compared to the original adios, a shoe I dearly love. I hope that the adios boost is changed in the future because I think that most racing flats should have a tighter fit. The midsole feels great, it's just the sizing that gets me.

I'm with you on this, and I also wish they would make the shoe a little less stiff on the front upper. The leathery feel was a bit much for me in races. Felt too structured. I still loved it, though. A bit pricey, but I guess they all are these days...
The heel is noticeably narrower on the Adios Boost than the Adios 2. Which is great for me - I always have to lace the Adios 2 more tightly to avoid heel slippage, whereas the Boost model just fits. The toe box may be a little wider on the Boost, or it's just that the upper is more flexible. Whatever it is, the Adios Boost is the best-fitting shoe I've had since the old Adistar Comp circa 2006.
The only thing I don't like about the Adios Boost is the weight of the heel. It's only 5 grams heavier than the Adios 2 but the center of gravity feels lower and closer to the heel.
