Ryan Hall Boston Prediction Thread

Even on a hard course, I have a hard to believe Kimetto would only run 2:07.

Robert Cheruiyot ran sub 2:06 for a course record in 2010 and I don't believe that was incredibly wind-aided (was it?), though it was an incredibly performance at the time.

You have to believe that Kimetto, who I would easily put top 5 in the world right now, is just as good as, if not faster than Cheruiyot given conditions are good for racing.

well put + seems about right.

If Kimetto is on his game, I think he wins pretty easily [unless Micah Kogo has a breakout performance]. If Kimetto has a bad day, anything could happen, including a Hall win.

Time doesn't matter, I predict 2nd place.

Ryan Hall is a HUGE talent who still has great races left in him. I agree with those who say he won't win, but when he runs fast, they'll still rip him due to their own running insecurities.

I think about 2:10:11. Temperatures are expected to be good but latest wind projection is from the SE with a few gusts.

Those conditions usually don't make themselves felt until

coming down from BC and towards Kenmore. Then that little headwind can hurt. I think Hall can't just train and not race while expecting to run real fast.

Does he still take a day off per week? Because running 6 days a week and taking ~half of those "easy" is a great way to not run to your potential. The Kenyans are tripling. I go to church, but seriously, go get a coach.

I hope he runs 2:08 or better, but I'm going to be shocked if it happens.

What are you talking about? After his 2:06 London debut, all of his finishes have been 2:08+ except for 2011 in Boston.

I'll go with his 2010 Boston time of 2:08:40.

I’ve been running a lot less on my recover days, but my workouts have been higher quality and higher in volume

So maybe he's having better workouts than previously. The guy never runs slower than 2:11
