I don't see this weeks thread started yet, so I will get things rolling. Maybe everybody is still snowed in. We need Stone Cutter back, he was an early morning running....
Goal: NJ Marathon or Broad Street Run
Monday: 6
Tuesday: 9 (hard pace up hills)
Wed: 0
Thursday: 10 with 8 at Marathon Pace
Friday: 5am / 5pm
Saturday: 10
Sunday: 15 (very hilly run)
Total: 60
This ended up being an Ok week with a couple good efforts and some hilly workouts. Tuesday is a typical workout run where we run easy and push harder up some pretty big hills. I hate this run but I think I ran them better then I had been, so hopefully that is a sign that my fitness is coming around.
Thursday was going to be an outside marathon pace run but with wind chills around 0 degrees I chickened out and did my workout around the indoor track at the YMCA. very boring for 100 laps, but I got a good effort in.
Sunday was a crazy hilly long run with some other people. One guy who came up with the run is training to run from one side of the Grand Canyon to the other. So all hills. Had a couple falls on an icy trail going up and down hill and some big ones on the roads were tough. Don't care about pace, but I know it was slow, but glad I finished.
60 is my highest week in a while, but still way lower then I should be. I need to look back in my logs and see how I was hitting 70s regularly. Big winter storm coming into the Philly area tonight, so more winter blues
