Maybe the BroJos could do a story on this and get to the bottom of this? I have emailed them before with the suggestion but didn't get a response. If you agree with me, maybe send them an email as well so they know there is interest in this.
I've posted on here before complaining about a banned coach in my area continuing to coach, but he just got hired by a local junior college, so I thought I'd post it again, curious what people's reaction is, maybe I'm overreacting by being offended.
I have been noticing Remi Korchemny (infamous Balco coach) coaching hurdlers out at the track over the last few years. Despite a lifetime ban from coaching (as shown here:
http://www.usatf.org/About/Anti-Doping/Doping-Suspensions.aspx
), there is nothing that prevents him from working with athletes as a "consultant." His website is also current and frequently updated, where he advertises his services:

However, this year he was hired by a junior college as a coach. How does this happen? How does Brock Drazen (head coach at Merritt) justify hiring a known drug cheat? The few times I've met him (Brock), he seemed like a decent person who I would hope feels a desire to balance his responsibilities to improve his athletes both as athletes and as citizens.
Remi's criminal case and plea deal was widely publicized in international papers at the time and his ban is listed on the very short list of lifetime bans on the usatf website.
I've been seeing him coach the Merritt kids, but here is a link to their website listing him as an assistant coach:

Anyway, what do people think? Am I being naive?
