Yeah, X-fit is bullshiit.
No way those people should be doing snatch, or any Olympic lifting. Why bother? They are not related to "health" or "fitness", they are an athletic event.
There is a reason that really hard things--Olympic lifting maybe being the hardest, along with things like gymnastics, hammer throw, etc--are highly specialized, and not part of either a multi-event format like decathlon or heptathlon, or strongman or triathlon, and not part of any watered-down similar type of movement, like yoga or powerlifting.
HT is not in the deca or hep
Olympic lifting is in neither powerlifting, nor in strongman.
The Iron Cross, Arabians, double backs, and even the Russian splits as far as I know, are not in yoga.
10m platform diving is not in the triathlon.
serious plyometrics are not in an aerobics or step class.
Give me a break, any idiot who goes out and tries serious olympic lifts without specializing is inviting serious injury, same as all of those other intense and dangerous activities.
X-fit is bullshiit for including them, if they actually do, which I don't know, because I completely ignore the flavor of the day in "fitness".
