I'm a freshman in college. So far this season I've run 9:04 for 3k. My HS PR for a 2 mile was 10:03. Outdoors I ran 1:57 and 4:32. I've been doing longer rep workouts every Tuesday since I started indoor training-800's and 1000's at a fairly easy 3k or 5k pace.
I recently did 6x600 averaging 1:45 or so. Felt very in control the whole time, though I wasn't JFM relaxed. rest intervals were a 200m jog, usually around 1:15. Is this an indicator of being in 8:50 shape? I'm going to focus on 800 through the mile this season but I'd like to know if this is an indication of improvement from my last race
Any opinions are very welcome.
tl;dr-6x600 in 1:45, 3k prediction?
