Hi all. I am due to give blood in a couple of weeks (UK based, so only whole blood donation is an option, platelet count has previously been too low for platelet-only option, no plasma only option in UK). I was just wondering what the current advice is on the gap between donation and a race in late January (aiming for a sub 2.40 marathon). Is 6-7 weeks plenty of time to fully recover without trashing the training I would have built up prior to the donation?
