Anyway, back to physics, we all have to land slightly in front of our centre of gravity to produce force. We accelerate our mass into the ground and then use the ground force reaction to accelerate off the ground, so some braking force is required.
Why do we all HAVE to land in front of how centre of gravity to produce force? We don't use the "ground force reaction". We use our muscles.
