OH YA!!!!
OH YA!!!!
It appears he has improved his game. I wonder if he is going to stay near the front for WC or try his usual, come from last place strategy.
That would be pretty good for Flotrack Pro's since they're coming out with a Driven series on Symmonds after the WCs
Yeah, nice to see he put on his big boy tights and ran with authority.
he will medal.
Yeah...he improved his tactics. 1:43flat for Moscow I think.

Symmonds ran just slightly faster than USATF in Des Moines. It's Solomon that didn't go as fast (1:44.12 compared to 1:43.27). Brandon Johnson also didn't run as fast. They're all going to have to go quite a bit faster than that if they want a medal.
no one can stop him!
Hold on. Don't forget Aman.
Symmonds looked great today. He ran very near the front, which is not his usual style. I think if he ran like he normally does he would have lost today.
If he can put himself right behind Aman in Moscow and stay there until the last 100 then he could win.
Solomon could also win in Moscow. Two Americans could medal.

Yes but it looked like Nick ran just fast enough to win it. He wasn't straining that's for sure.
He looked 'relaxed' as they like to say. haha
This could happen
Meh - 1:43 mid in a race that was perfectly paced for him to win it.
Can he run 1:41 high balls out or 1:43 mid in a race with speeding up, slowing down, getting boxed in, etc? I don't think so.
Nips some dude at the line for bronze at best.
Beating Solomon twice won't be easy and Aman has to be the favorite going in. Is Nick still considering the Bachelor series? A house full of 25 single ladies who want alone time with you seems like a suitable gift for a WC.
Well, in that last workout video on Flo he was practicing running closer to the front/faster in the beginning because he knows the sit-and-kick isn't going to cut it. He said London will be a test of the strategy and of his strength. Sounds like he is training smart and I assume he gained a ton of well-deserved confidence going into Moscow.

We agree that he could be the champ:

Training run for Solomon, nothing more. He'll be bringing a lot more in the WC final.
Did anyone else notice how shallow his breathing was after running 1.43??
honestly i think its the track, he's ran faster on it before, i think it just suits his biomechanics perfectly
watch the race... Solomon was by himself after 400 meters. trying to push it but had no body to go with. symmonds just sat behind him till 100 to go and drafted in for the win. at worlds! Solomon will have people to go with after 400 meters and they will leave symmonds before 100 to go. just like the races earlier this year.. symonds went for te win. Solomon went gutsy and tried to make the race a race. good just by both. but I think Solomon is clearly the guy to beat still
