I'm hearing that the NOP is over. Can anyone confirm?

All special projects seem to start up prior to an Olympic year, and get dropped right after the Games.
Business as usual
Ya alberto will be heading on to Eugene to fix another problem at the U of O starting in Jan of 2005.
I am sure that a LOT of "pro" runners will be dropped soon.
Yes he will take on another project in Eugene to clean up another mess. "Lack of milers"
Do these statements have any backing at all? Cause if so, I'll consider U of O...
yeah i also heard from a reliable source that he Alberto will be replacing Martin Smith at oregon. And he will bring back Mike McGrath with him and Galen Rupp.
Can anyone tell me why they have a "zero" on their football helmets?
This is retarded....Dan Browne made huge strides this year...Galen Rupp made huge strides....THey didn't win anything at the olympics...but they made great strides to being competitive in the next couple years. Fastest 5k in the country this year...and fastest 5k ever for a hs'er...it seemed to be doing good things.

I hope to god your wrong. It would really prove Alberto to be a liar.
Alberto Statements:
1. "WE STARTED THE PROGRAM IN ORDER TO PUT AMERICANS BACK IN FRONT IN THE MARATHON. SPECIFICALLY BOSTON AND NY"
They are yet to have an athlete break 2:20 in either of those races.
2. "WE HAVE ESTABLISHED A LONG TERM TRAINING FACILITY....."
Long term is certainly longer than 3 years.
The next thing you know he is going to say that he never used performance enhancing drugs as an athlete.
YES
Does anyone know if they have underwater treadmills in Eugene? Do they have enough for the whole team to run at once? How about an altitude house for the whole team? (sarcasm)
Tigard kicks butt. Good suburb of Portland. Do you live near Somerset Lake? Tinman
Can this be verified? What is happening? Was the NOP only set up through the olympics?
How many of you really know anything about the Oregon Project. 1. Do the guys train together? No not on a daily basis. 2. Do all of the guys live together? No. Phillimon lives in Clackamus and Dan moved out nearly a year ago. 3. Does Nike own the altitude house? No again it is rented.
My point is simple. There is nothing to end. You have a few guys that live in the same area that have small Nike contracts that occassionally train together under the supervision of Alberto (an ex drugged american hero). What is to end. Alberto will still provide direction to those who want it and Nike will continue to give the fellas some equipment.
You tell 'em Mike. Keep up the good work. We missed ya at Steve's wedding.
Why the negatives toward Alberto?

Are you speaking to the poster or are you saying that Alberto is sleazy? I for one think Alberto is great.
