Wow. She must be doing some serious mileage pulling away from Hasay and Saina like that. She didn't just have a great sprint over the last 200m. She seemed to just pick up the pace with 600m to go in both races. Impressive.

That's not necessarily a function of mileage (though it can be, for some runners).
It may be more a question of her having picked better grandparents.

Or both Hasay and Saina had poor races. Isn't that a possibility? Not saying that Abbey wouldn't have won, but that's an awfully large gap to put on a 31 minute 10ker.
She received no offers coming out of MA HS. She was a recruited walk-on.
Abbey's PRs are a cut above Jordan's across the board, and she has a solid kick. Saina has little speed (4:40 mile PR) and seems to be off in any case. Abbey is simply the class of the field.
What would be VERY interesting right now is a 3K with Abbey v. Emma.
