marmite - Great week, as usual. I also like your Friday session...nice mix of paces there.
brum - My favorite entry of your week is that Thursday "6km with my wife"...good stuff, man. You know what it's all about. :)
Tiger_runner - I don't think I need to add any comments about your soleus. Just re-visit my posts from 3-4 weeks ago and give yourself proper rest. Feel better soon.
Darwinian - That's a model down week. Great discipline.
has been - I personally favor 3 types of tempos during marathon training: 1) 6 miles worth of cruise intervals at roughly HMP with shorter rest (like my session today), 2) 6-10 miles worth of MP running, 3) 10-16 miles steady running (90-95% MP). I think the variety builds an overall stronger runner.
CTA - Despite your lower volume, you still got in an impressive long-run on Friday. You definitely fit the Hanson's motto of "cumulative fatigue." :)
VF Runner - Another great week of volume for you with an impressive long run session.
NP1112 - Wasn't your initial goal for Boston "just" sub-2:40? You have really stacked some nice weeks of training on top of each other, and I agree that you could have another monster breakthrough if you handle the next 9 weeks right.
themack - Sorry the storm got you, man. Trails for treadmills is a tough trade, indeed.
Renewed Marathoner - Good luck on your race next weekend!
dcrunner - Technically, my pace for the cruise intervals was supposed to be MP-10secs/mi (~6:30/mi for me). Having said that, I think I could comfortably manange 6:25/mi for a hilly half-marathon right now. I'll find out the answer to that question in 5 weeks when I run the Caesar Rodney half-marathon.
bad as... - More impressive fast running from you. Good luck at the 800m time next week - I am also interested to see how you'll come back for the 3200m.
