This is the flaw with the BCS. We get the two strongest teams but it's based on computers. No one wants to see SEC v. SEC. Not even SEC fans.
Couldn't have said it better. Alabama, as much as I hate it, is the best team in college football this year. To watch them play k-State or Oregon will be plain boring! Unfortunately, I don't think watching ND play BAMA would be any better.
Sadly, we could end up watching BAMA vs Florida or Georgia. Like you said, not even SEC fans want to see an all SEC national title game BUT that would be the best opponent for BAMA. Until teams like Ohio State, Oregon, USC etc can show dominance on both sides of the ball they will not come close to stopping the SEC dominance.
Sure, Oregon has an explosive offense, they put points on the board, but their offense would be shut down in a heart beat by the d line at bama. Bama would run the ball all over Oregon. Oregon has failed at every attempt to win against their SEC foes which they talk so much about. I would rather see K-state or ND play and have a chance. They can't do any worse than Oregon.
All that money, state of the art facilities and super fancy locker room just isn't enough to allow those ducks to compete with the work horses down south. The past speaks for itself!
