They may be able to trounce Pac 10 teams with high scores, but USC just put up 51 in the loss tonight.
U of O will find out the hard way that the SEC don't play dat.
K-State may also find that out, if they are around long enough.

SEC D-lines will annhiliate any PAC 10 O-line and 'Bama's O-line is far superior to any D-line in the country. Then you have freaks playing LB in the SEC and secondaries where every dude runs like Bolt & jumps like LeBron. Gonna be ugly.

I'm glad you are finally coming around politically and giving O-'bama the nod!
Wow, 'Bama just came up huge in the last minute of that game. They are good.

LSU handed them the game, going into deep coverage with that much time left. Any team would have scored.
Has ANY team ever won a game with a prevent defense?
But that (ahem) "dominating" SEC defense gave up 435 yards to a mediocre quarterback and an LSU offense that isn't even close to Oregon or USC.
I think Kansas State would give them serious problems.
Bama will destroy any team in ncaa this year. LSU is prob the second best team, followed by Georgia then maybe Oregon. The sad fact is the SEC is so loaded. Can you imagine LSU vs K State? LSU would wipe the floor with them. Just like LSU did to the ducks and their whiny fans in the first game of the season last year. Remember that?!?!

Not that I agree, but I hope that's the matchup we get.
If Les Miles wasn't such an idiot, LSU would have won that game. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.
Not if the other team is within 7 points with 1 1/2 minutes left, they won't. They'll go into deep coverage and throw the game away 10 yards at a time.
New Mexico State would have scored a TD same as Alabama. Alabama played like shit the whole game and LSU played shittier at the end. Ain't the SEC great?

Yeah, that's what everyone says after the game, but what do you think caused both teams to play like shit? There's two sides to every big play. One team makes a mistake; the other team makes a good play.
Oregon will put up 40 on Bama and LSU types. They will shit themselves.

Yeah. It's the other team that makes you drop a punt, fake a field goal, go for a crazy onside kick, get penalized for late hits, and cover only the long pass with over a minute left on the clock.
SEC doesn't have anything like a Barkley to Lee/Woods & company passing attack. You will be surprised how well Oregon does against Alabama's offense if that match up happens. I still maintain that an Oregon/Alabama match up would be relatively low scoring like the Oregon/Auburn match up and Oregon's bigger challenge will be dealing with Bama's defense.
Also, AJ McCarron's emotions after their win tonight highlights what is wrong with the Deep South. Its a freakin' football game! McCarron was acting like a WW2 soldier on VE day who had been in the "sh%t" for 2 years.
I normally feel the same way as you do (with regards to emotion in sports), but I thought that sh** was beautiful. These kids aren't making millions. The QB and the rest of his buddies came into the year thinking about a national championship and when the odds were against them and they thought that title shot my slip away - boom - he moves them down the field for the win.
I for one loved the emotion. It was honest, and mild. Why criticize that when half of his teammates were holding their hands up to their ears "silencing" the LSU crowd?
Oregon has the best offense of the four undefeateds. That said, they are the worst football team of the four undefeateds. Oregon DOES NOT HAVE a defense. USC's offense is no excuse. Oregon gave up more points to USC than Hawaii, Syracuse, or Colorado did. They gave up more points than any other USC opponent, in fact. These are emphatically not good football teams I'm listing.
Long story short, Oregon cannot play defense. They would get curb-stomped by Bama, KSU, OR even Notre Dame, for that matter. Oregon regularly gives up 20-30 points to TERRIBLE unranked teams. Any of these three teams will put up more than that, and what does Oregon do when their offense can't score 50 points to counter? They lose.
It will be a moot point, anyway. Oregon will lose before BCS season. Of the four remaining, they're the most clearly a fraud. Think what happened to WVU earlier this year.
Ok, first of all, Oregon is not a fraud. They are no West Virginia, who belongs in the Big Least still. However, every year we hear about these awesome teams with their killer speed (think Ohio State a few years back), but when they go up against the SEC, suddenly they look mediocre, because the SEC has battled in the trenches all year long, a game that Oregon is not used to.
Oregon is better than ND, who, but for a missed 33-yd field goal by Pitt that would have beaten them, should have a loss. The luck of the Irish will stop in Los Angeles, if not before. I don't know the situation with KSU's QB at this point, but they need him to stay in contention. Again, it's possible that all of these teams drop a game.
Oregon just needs to mind their own business and keep winning. If they don't improve that porous defense, they will drop a game they shouldn't. Think an "invincible" USC versus Texas for the title several years ago. Both teams gave up 500+ yards and USC finally got caught in a game they probably should've won. UCLA and OSU will not be pushovers either.
Football is a game of inches. If Oregon wins out, they will need to be PERFECT to beat the SEC champ. Alabama should count their blessings and shower Les Miles with gifts for his absolutely pitiful coaching.

Oh yah, just like they did in the first game of the year last year. Oh wait, that's right.....LSU beat Oregon by 13 pts in that game!
Oregon fans make me laugh. All talk yet when it comes time to play they simply do not beat the top SEC teams. The proof is in the results. It's not even a debatable topic!!
The fact is that the offensive and defensive lines in the SEC are SO much faster and stinger than the rest of the county. They wear down the other teams. That's why, come 4th quarter Oregon, USC, ND and the likes simply can not beat the likes of Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina.
Yes, eventually it will happen. A team like Oregon or ND will make it to the BCS game and beat a SEC team, and I'm sure their fans will let all the SEC fans know how great they are and how they have been ripped off for the past x amount of years.
But facts are facts. The SEC has won the last 6 national championship games and that is not going to change this year!
Faster and stronger**
