Oh no, here comes Tufts and their giant inferiority complex again. Seriously, these guys act like they're god's gift to humanity, yet they attend, what, the 8th best school in the region?
Overrated Intelligence+Overrated Athletic Ability=Tufts. Congratulations.

These two posts were probably written by the same person.

I'd guess that this entire thread is probably ~3 people posting. But that's come to be expected from the baby division, trying to stay relevant.

yep, never heard a comment like that before...
Some early season action yesterday with a meet @ Keene State & New England College. Results up on their websites. MIT packed it up well in a 5k.

O'Connell won't even be in the top two of his own team. Watch out for Pietras, Salvucci.
No love for Graboys of Bates?

So a 3:51 1500 runner, who finished top 10 in the region last year, will be 3rd on his team this fall? Injured? If not, Springfield should be in the running to win it all, no? Somehow, I just don't see that happening. Just big talk from a little NEWMAC team.

No they won't win it all, because they don't have any other runners. Salvucci and Pietras are more talented than O'Connell if you look at high school times. Pietras made Nats outdoors in the steeplechase (granted fell apart in CA), and Salvucci was 9 seconds off Nationals his Sophomore year. And they both finally ran over the summer. That's just my predictions, we can see if I'm right in November though.

What happened to Gisore of New England? Kid was fun to watch, and could rock a pair of half tights like nobody else in NE. No homo.

So you're on the team? Yeah, way to steer clear of bias.

Transferred to Franklin Pierce to run DII
So who's racing this weekend? Who's going to UMass Dartmouth the following weekend? Who wants to pump their chest on the board? Keene guys have been awfully quiet this year.
My thoughts at the moment-
While Tufts may be looking real strong, returning everybody, they're definitely not a lock. Rand doesn't look 100% based on summer racing, and there are too many other strong teams. I think it goes Tufts/Bates, then Williams/Midd/Bowdoin, but with very little difference between those five. I don't know why the heck Amherst is ranked that high. I think Wesleyan will be better than them.
Hard to tell from summer races when someone is injured all spring. Still 2 months to conference meets
Anyone have any upset predictions for regionals?
Who's competing where this weekend? Or, are most waiting for U/Mass Dartmouth on the 15th?
