why is it all you distance nerds think that you have to be a former runner to be a distance coach? you all try to act like its this big secret. the only reason we keep ours around, is so that the other coaches dont have to deal with the whinny distance brats.
BUMP. Kreger for President!
Here are the D2 pre-season regional polls released today:
http://www.ustfccca.org/2012/08/featured/dii-preseason-regional-rankings-released-for-cross-country
rankings, especially pre-season D2 rankings mean nothing. many of those teams, whose regional ranker is a coach, were in different regions, and no nothing about the other conferences coming into their region. I ll go ahead and rank us as the cream of the crop!
Never mind Sorry guys I forgot to take my pills
ha, ha! my riddlin, thats good buddy! I like your sense of humor. You will like the asswhipppin i put on you if you face me! Kreger, Kreger, Kreger! The aggies will rise again!

This is not the first time that this has happened. For a while in the 2008-10 seasons Mines was consistently ranked ahead of Western in the Regional rankings and National rankings (because the National rankings are based off of the Regional). Well, what ended up happening was the first time in the season that Mines raced Western (usually Conference) Western crushed them and would go on and finish 2nd to Adams at Nationals. I think that the same thing is going to happen again. Western has history on their side.
But even though what I said above, this year is the best chance that Mines has to beat Western. I don't think that it will happen for a few reasons. One is that Mines just lost their coach of 12 years (I think it was that long). No matter how good of a team you have, losing your coach is going to be hard, even if the new coach is the brother of the old one. Second is that fact that Western always runs well when the blue chips are on the line. Come Conference, Regionals, and Nationals they will be fine. Third is that this is has happened before and the names have changed but the results have been the same, Western over Mines at Conference.
Mines has a better roster. They should be ranked in front of Western. My opinion of rankings isn't so much that they are to predict nationals, but rather how good a team is at this very moment. To be honest, and it pains me to say this, I could completely see Mines beating Western at conference this year.
Mines is returning way more, conference is only 8k, and the mines boys have to be hungry as hell. Western lost Vandenbusche and they were fine, Mines will be fine too. Nothing in the program will change. It's still good runners who run hard and train smart.
Now, do I think Mines will beat Western come regionals? Maybe. Will they beat them at nationals? No.
No one runs better than Western at nationals. That doesn't always mean Western brings home the title, but rarely does anyone run over their heads more often.
The trick will be is that Mines will need to run for second place, if they run to beat Adams they will finish third. Western doesn't see blue or any other color during a race other than red and green.
But a meet hasn't even been ran yet so everything I just posted is realistically completely bs.
They are all running for second at Regionals! Cameron will crush! Kreger for President!
King College isn't deep? We'll see about that and how Mount Olive is the "cream of the crop down there"

Who cares?
Chico will upset!
Isn't it funny how Cameron University got on here and was talking so much and now it has stopped since their first meet. Very interesting.......
Looks like they decided to talk with their legs just a liiitttle to late. To bad their mouths were much louder than their running .
When is the next d2 sports festival?
