To FM guy: In receiving gear such as singlets and backpacks, how does one get faster? It would appear to be a good business move to adorn the best program in your product. Would the shoes be bought anyway? Probably. These kids could run in t-shirts and chuck taylor's and they'd still win. So Nike or no Nike, winning is done still with sweat, tears, and commitment. You also appear to be out of touch with high school, collegiate, and pro athletics as it pertains to regulations, rules, and modern day recruiting. Most major colleges are sponsored by and adorned with shoe company gear. Many require the athletes to wear that gear regardless of whether you like it or not. If you also look around the country and the state of high football, winning programs have synthetic fields purchased with Coca Cola or Pepsi moneys, scoreboards with advertisements, and kids who want to wear great uniforms. Some have decided to pursue excellence, some are satisfied to be also rans and play in the sandlots and cow pastures of America. To each their own. Could have gone on and on with examples of teams receiving gear. FM is not alone.
