lets not go overboard on Wet, although I certainly think he found his niche with the steeple. Most interesting thing to me is the incredible progression of this sport from a decade ago, when anything under 10 minutes was going to get you a place at the USA podium. Our steeple women are getting closer to the E. Africans and Russians..very close to breaking into that elite group.
It helps to have the letters KIP in your name if you're a steepler.
It also helps to grow up at altitude.

So now Mark Wetmore has sent 4 CU athletes to the Olympics in Steeplechase in four years. Two in 2008 and two more now. Pretty impressive. 4/6 athletes in 2008/2012 have been members his team.
Case closed on who Steeplechase U is.
