10,000 is the first day, Proctor from western has been running strong this whole past year, top 15 in xc, i think all american in indoors and looked to move up well in his 10k pr. i can see him mixing it up for a top 3 spot, being him coming down in altitude, also Bond from adams also the same. I think those 2 guys along with pennel could be top 3, but pennel heavy favorite.
1500- i would add other mines guy drummond. and Kangogo from AA, most african runners in d2 were born at altitude so dont think he will be at as much as a disadvantage as other guys
steeple- hands down haebe unless another fall, chelimo from AA, was born at altitude and was closing hard on karbo the first battle. Also a 13:53 5k guy. Goodman wouldnt put him over stevens this year, seems to have had some injury problems. so tabor for 3rd.
800- like the picks, maybe graham pulls off a dbl?
Good points on the 10k. Even though my name is altitude bias I totally forgot about the altitude. Silly me.
I think graham could pull off double if they mess around in the 800. No one is more dangerous in the last 50 meters.
Giving Goodman benefit of the doubt. Last year national champ, always seems to step up for nationals after running sub par throughout season. But it's definitely a wildcard pick.
Don't know enough about women's.
Grand Valley in the 5k, Kleppin in the 10k.
Also think Haebe could surprise in 5k depending on how the race plays out. Same with Karbo. Deadly kicks in those two.
