They had ups and downs.
I think the overall athleticism was better in WCW, but the camera angles and storylines were better in WWF. WCW just seemed really sloppy with storylines, and almost every final match of Nitro ending in DQ and random crap being thrown in the ring.

WCW was amazing back in the Goldberg/Wolfpack/Sting/DDP era. Loved that.
