After years of running in Asics Gel 1170s the local running store talked me into trying a pair of Scott MK4+ shoes. After two weeks of running in them my feet are killing me and my achilles are aching. It feels like I am running on a pair of shoes that have 1000 miles on them. There is just no cushioning at all.
They are super light (9.5 oz.) and feel more like a racing flat than a trainer. Is anyone else using these shoes as a daily trainer? I am headed back to Asics.

Oh, and 9.5 oz isn't really super light. New Adidas Hagio is about 6 oz, for a trainer, I would call that super light.
Your achilles tendons got shortened after years of running in those high heeled shoes. Go back to high heels for now and then gradually start to incorporate some running in low heeled shoes and lots of careful stretching of your calves and achilles tendons.
