That 5k loss last Spring came after beating down the Badgers on way to his 10k victory. In that same 5k you mention, Mo from Wisconsin was crying on the infield halfway through having been gunned down from front-running attempt.
Mead is the man.
who's crying now. Fab Five for national title
Any news on the women's race?
I looked at a few of the Wisconsin and Illinois guys ran at the The times that the Orange & Blue Preview (9/16/2011) and they are pretty similar. Since the Wisconsin guys were running to establish a place on the traveling/Big Ten team they were probably running pretty hard, although it was early.
women's team results???
MSU, Michigan, Penn State
Course is EXTREMELY easy! It is pancacke flat with one "hill" per loop. Hill is literaly 60m long and is pretty much the only hill in C-U unless you were to run the course at the Urbana Country Club which would make for a much more challenging course. As long as it isn't too windy the course is always going to run fast.

REALLY!!!
I'm really shocked by how horrendous Nebraska is. They better start spending some money on distance, get a new coach, or something because they will become the new perennial last place finisher at B1G's very quickly. There are no absolutely horrible teams like Kansas State or Baylor in the B1G that make teams like Nebraska look "not that bad".
Is that G supposed to be a backwards 2?
Time to look back at this tread and see who got to NCAAs and who was left at home. Fairly deep representation at NCAAs on both sides.
