There was a Pre story that this reminds me of. There was a guy they called "Jack Frost" who would try to run with Pre on his road workouts. One day Pre led him up a deserted road and then sprinted away and let him fend for himself.

the world needs more nice folks like you.
I checked the thread again to see if anyone had made the obvious suggestion involving showering together, but alas.
Really well done. This stuff happens and you were nice enough to go back to her. She is looking for inspiration and you may be what she has. People on here don't always realize not every female can just go out and drop a <18 5K. Some people have to work their butts off to complete a 5K. A few months down the road, she may actually wind up being a decent runner and you could have a part in that. People like this are often clueless about proper training practices, injury prevention, etc., and running with you 15 minutes every now and then may give her more education than Runners World can. Besides, if she is gasping while talking, she is clearly pushing herself harder than normal and is getting some physiological benefit, and as long as you are cool with it, you are doing something few are able to do - use their running to help others besides themselves.
This is all of course assuming that she is just some college student training and inspired by you... not some kind of unforeseen stalker situation.
op do you in atl? dirt loop sounds familiar
Just hope you didn't inspire her enough to train the next year to take your spot on the team. That'd be sweet revenge.

BS.
By your own statement, you obviously found it notable that this person joined you.
And now you're saying that you just found yourself having dropped her in mid-conversation?
Troll.
Oh, so the OP hasn't been back? Surprise, surprise.
You fools are just eating this up because the OP was female (or pretended to be).

No one cares who you dropped and as a D1 female pretty much any marginally talented male is faster than you anyway.
Thanks for continuing to give us males a bad rep on these boards. Congrats Douche!
Y'all postin' in a troll thread

Trolls are not annoying.
It's the bellends who feel the need to call every single poster out as a troll that are annoying. Is it an insecurity thing? Are you worried about the 'humiliation' of not spotting a troll?
I couldn't give a toss whether it's a troll or not, just roll with it. Nobody cares.
a friend and i both male were doing laps around an indoor track probably 8min pace when a female tried to catch us, we laughed and dropped the pace to under 630 and lapped her for shits and giggles. she was kinda cute though.
This one time i was doing my easy run, an out and back, and i reached the point when i was going to turn around. i had passed a girl running the other way just seconds before. as i turned around she was going slower, so i figured i would just pass, no big deal. she was pretty cute so i figured i would nod as i passed or something. but as i passed she picked up the pace. I think she tried to say something to me like, "how's it going or how far are you going?" i dont remember because i was so pissed off she was running with me. i didnt answer but tried to pick the pace up to drop her. but she stayed with me and continued to smile and say something... then i was just like "f you. you're f'ed up" and i walked the rest of the way in. i mean what she did was just disrespectful
I can't believe nobody has asked for pics yet.
One time I was doing an easy run, when someone else made a what was for her a very hard move, and surged past me. Fine, I'm doing an easy run; I really don't care who passes me. And if it makes her day, great.
A bit later, she slowed drastically (was clearly tired) and I started approaching her again. She was looking back pretty regularly, and seemed a bit upset that I was approaching (still easy pace).
At this point, I'm on a bike trail, about 8 feet wide.
As I start to pass her on one side, she blocks me. Just veers across.
OK then, maybe she's just tired and veering back and forth.
So I try to pass on the other side, still staying at easy pace.
She blocks me again.
Repeat the cycle several more times -- she keeps trying to keep me from passing. I'm still at easy pace; she's clearly very tired.
I considered a snide comment, but finally decided not to say anything. I just threw in a stride, got past her, and dropped back down to easy pace and continued home.
The whole thing was pretty funny, though.
I quit running a few days later
you did the right thing. she wanted to be pushed and wound up dragged. know that if she had kept up with you, her side of the story would've been about how easy it is to get on the track team
Did you ask if she had ever been done from behind?
trying too hard, friend.
1. Depends on how hot you are. Good lookling = forgiven. Ugly = you probably need the friends, not cool.
2. Admit it, you are really a dude pretending to be a woman online. That is why you need reassurance from people replying to your post, something you don't get as a male.
