Im going to register around 4 p.m. after work today......do I need to worry about it filling up that quick?!
Registered with now problems, what ever bugs they had, they're worked out.
As of 1115am. I think there were 8200 people registered. About 40% full. I think 4pm will be OK.

What's link to see how many are registered?
Over 13,000 registered. It will probably fill by the end of the day....
There is no link. Just figuring it out based upon registration ID #'s.

Jesus Christ! What will happen next year? A lottery for those with Q times?
How about we lower the times by 5 minutes for every single age group?
Another, care to explain? Where are you seeing registration ID#'s? Just interested in how you're ballparking this.
15,718 now.
You register, you get a confirmation ID like
2000134
Take off the 2, you get your order in registration. People are posting over on RWOL there registration numbers. (Yes RWOL is good for many things). As of 2pm EDT, highest we've seen in 15,718. Last year it closed ~19,xxx, but I think they had paper entries also. There are 5,000 charity + extra entries not for public.
Thanks man.
16917 as of 3:15 Eastern time. I bet there's another rush after 5 and it fills up tonight.
I bet that Boston 2011 will have a higher percentage of DNS than before. People like myself that just registered this morning so I would not be shut out. I have not decided if I am going to race Boston for sure, but I am willing to pay up the $130 6 months before the race to ensure a spot in case I decide to.
17.274 as of 3:30 eastern time. I never thought I would see Boston fill in 10 hours, but that's what it's on pace to do.
17,374 as of 3:45 EST. Hurry, hurry, hurry.
17.642 at 3:54 ET
Just saw 17,624 on RW at 3:54 PM EST
And I completely agree with the record number of DNSs we're going to see. It is insane to predict 6 months out...
17842 @ 4:01pm est. What was the registration close last year?
btw thank you for the link good luck to all and I hope everyone can make it!
I'm curious.
So you have to qualify to run boston unless you have some charity exemption or something right?
So when you go to register, how does it verify that you've qualified?
Surprise... Its manual checking I think. Or some sort of result scrapper program that matches names with times. And then for ones that don't match I would think it would be manual..
hey, if athlinks can do it, so can BAA. Indeed, who knows? Maybe BAA pays athlinks for access to its scraping technology (or, more simply, for its data)?
