Alright, so I'm a senior in high-school and I was recently diagnosed (2 weeks ago) with a tibial stress fracture. Districts are in a week, and I haven't ran a step since being told it was a stress fracture. However, the doctor pointed to the inside of my shin where he said the stress fracture is, but the pain I have while running runs up and down the outside of my shin. Is this normal? I was told that pain from stress fractures is normally localized. So I ask the letsrun community this: is the diagnosis correct (I did have an MRI confirming a stage 2 stress fracture)? And what should I do to best prepare myself for the district race next Saturday? ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED
