80-90 miles a week, I've run mid/low 18s 5k on the track, hoping to get into the high 17s.
what's your average pace for those 85-90 + mile weeks? I've got similar goals.

'bout 7:00-7:30min pace, sometimes slower, maybe a tad sub7 on days im feeling good
honestly, alot of you guys must be running junk mileage. try doing more workouts or something cause theres no reason to only have an 18+ minute or even 16+ minute 5k pr if youre running upwards of 90 miles a week. youre either lying about your mileage or youre running way too slow/not enough workouts.

seriously?
25:19 8k cross
30:56 10k track
Aiming to hold 100-110 during the summer and drop to 90-100 during cross. I'm not a slave to numbers though, if I am feeling good one week it might be higher, if I feel like crap I'll take a day off. 12 runs per week usually.
53, 60 mpw, old fart PRs 4:50 mile, 16:44 5k, the goals remain the same: break 5:00 and 17:00 for as long as I can, knowing it's a battle I will eventually lose.

I was thinking that as well.

It depends on what they are doing... If they are building a STRONG aerobic base for XC in the fall... then they should NOT be doing many workouts at this time of year. (NOTE: Although if that is the case, those currently around 90 MPW should probably have aimed to hit that number around the end of July as they start to transition to Stamina workouts.)
