Where will Rita work? Last time I checked there are no high profile coaching vacancies.

Things are about to start the move around. Rumors already flying....
What rumors?
Gary loves Ohio State.
He would only leave to coach a professional training group(maybe specialize in the steeplechase), but not many of those opportunities besides Salazaar, Schumacher, and Mahan. Might help he's at a Nike school.
What rumors?
Look, do I have to say this everytime with regards to these "rumors" that pop up about openings. Most likely they are closely attached to the truth, but if you think that someone will just spill that kind of intel on THIS board, you're nuts. That information is priceless to someone looking to break into the biz. It could represent somebodies "in" before anyone else even has a notion that a job is going to come open. So you will eventually "hear" about it, but not before all the phone calls & handshakes have already happened behind closed doors. Sorry, but that's just how it works. The standard process of landing a job does not apply in college coaching.
Not THIS forum? What forum then?

There IS NO Director of T&F position. Karen Dennis is NOT going anywhere, thus Coach Gary will not be Director of T&F.
What happened at SUNY Oneonta ? Where is Matt Lopicollo headed ?
Don't yet...who knows what will happen in the future (next year). Then Rita could return to coaching - would that be good for the program??
Portland State did hire a distance coach....a female...got to love the minority hires! Will be announced within the week.

How little experience does this hire have?
Why would OSU replace their current women's XC coach with Rita? He seems successful.

LoPicollo is not going anywhere. He is not the coach leaving.
Kelly Strong? Would make sense, since her husband's job is based in the PacNW.

Wow, that would be something. She is originally from the Portland area. Lake O if I am not mistaken.
Not Kelly Strong.
Add Brown Univ to this list.
Ashland University (Ashland, Oh) NCAA Div II school also has an opening for a head men's/women's cross country/distance coach (looking for one coach to do both, possibility of paid assistant).
Job will probably go up on the NCAA site in mid to late March but never to early to start networking.
Current coaches will be finishing outdoor season and heading south to pursue other jobs outside coaching.
What is your source for Ashland opening?
