Akron XC men: 8th (2009) and 7th (2008) in a weak MAC could be difficult for LaBadie to return to Illinois.
Maybe not when you consider that Dennis Mitchell is known to be very tight with the purse strings on the men's side.

Whats going to happen at Western IL since Stevenson left for Purdue? Will they lift the interim tag from XC Coach and name him head track coach or will they look to bring in someone else?
To more talk of Labadie; he coached Mark Croghan and Gary right after college, but that ship has sailed.
Gary is from Illinois originally and has head coaching experience after talking over for Russ Rodgers, but OSU is his alma mater and he has things going pretty well with 2nd at Big Ten's in outdoor track and cross country.
I would be shocked if they don't combine and make Tonja Director. A lot of schools are starting to do this to cut down on head coaches and save money. If this happens, I am sure Turk and Wendell will be given a year to prove themselves out from under Coach Angel.
