I have to say this is one of the most authentic 'real runner' subjects on LR. Well done OP!
My oldies from the '70's I treat like those museum folks treat Egyptian relics. Think I should build an environmental control room for them. I don't wear old t's these days.
Miss Phoenix 1986. yes, that was me. I wear it while cleaning house because that's when I look especially glam.
What a great collection of answers.
For me...somewhere I have a Primo Beer t-shirt from 69/70, ITA Professional Track and Field t-shirt from 72/73.
And the one I still wear from time to time...
University of Oregon Athletic Department - 1977.
Sweatshirt- Oregon Track - 1977 - in brand new condition, been preserved in a trunk for 30 years. Sweet.
At a race on the 4th of July my son (born 1983) warmed up in an old shirt of mine from a race on 4th of July 1984.
1978 Jimmy Buffett shirt.
1985 Hood to Coast
I got an old Kinney Cross Country Nationals shirt from 1981 which my coach gave me in 2002. I raced footlocker south in 2002 in my dad's old Midwest Meet of Champions jersey from 1978. It's an orange Illinois one that he wore on a team with Jim Spivey.
1981 Foreigner Tour 3/4 length baseball tee. Fits and feels great!
I have a slew of college xc/track t-shirts that I still wear when working out or working in the yard. Many of these shirts were worn multiple times a week during runs and during other types of workouts (sit ups, push ups, medicine ball stuff outdoors in the mud). Most of them still have stains from 1993-1994 (my Fr year) that just won't wash out. I still wear my XC/track sweatshirt that was given to me the day I arrived on campus in August 1993. My wife hates it (it IS ugly). I love it and will not fully retire it until the seams just completely lose contact.

Hey, I have one of those 1985 HTC shirts too....what, 32 teams that year I think?
My oldest that I've worn this year is a 1979 Seaside Marathon Finisher's TShirt...it's a classic. Hard to believe that it's 30 years old...
I have a bunch of T-shirts from the early 90's from races that I wear every week.
I have an old t-shirt from 1977 from Mothers Spaghetti Factory in Waco, TX from when I was in College. Rather small now days. The oldest running shirt is 1988 RRCA Ten Mile Texas State Championships which was the Sea Rim Striders Turkey Trot that year.
1990 Goodwill Games in Seattle - Soviet Team shirt (In Russian with a Hammer & Sickle)
I have a 1975 NYSPHSAA xc champs shirt somewhere in my closet. Oldest dated "T" that I wear is '92 New Orleans Trials shirt. Also the "Who's the World's Greatest Athlete: Dan" shirt that I picked up at the Reebok party at those Trials the night before O'B crapped out in the pole vault.
And in the winter, for both running and xc skiing, my standbys are three long sleeve LIFA polypros with the original stripe pattern that says "1984" to those in the know. Indestructible.
i mow the lawn in a threadbare t-shirt from the 1984 Pole-Pedal-Paddle relay, held in Jackson Hole, Wyo.
God, that's a depressing statement.
I rode the bike, and had no idea what i was doing in the race.
what school/town did you run for at that meet? (I went to Kenmore West (outside Buffalo) in 75, but was nowhere near good enough to go to such a meet.)
