No love for Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge? He may not be in the top 20 of the century (given that the century in question spans from 1900-1999), but others are naming good vocalists who probably don't belong in there. Kennedy has a great range in his voice - he is a true vocalist and not just a lead singer.
Jon Anderson may be the WORST rock/pop vocalist of all-time and the reason why Yes, despite the presence of at least three instrumental geniuses, is unbearable.
Yes was awfully annoying to hear let alone without Jon Anderson's vocals. They had a great bass player though.

Interesting voice, but definitely not fantastic. I honestly like Stapp better, which isn't saying a whole lot.

I'd 86 Frank Sinatra from the list. I realize he was a great performer, showman, very popular, etc., but I can do without his singing.
Sinatra as a younger man had a great crooning voice. Later on he became much more of a stylist...and to me was much more enjoyable.
I'd agree that a vocals based list should not include Frank Sinatra.
BTW...any list which does not contain Marvin Gaye is bogus.

Ah, yes, Vic Damone. He deserves a place.
He's the only person I've ever heard do "Send In The Clowns" right. Taking that song out of the play it was written for just comes across as schlocky when everyone else does it.
As a singular recorded song I'd agree. The song is best sung almost growled as Glynis Johns did in the original company as Desiree. Judi Dench did an excellent job recently. Most who are "real" singers it doesn't work for...even those who started on Broadway such as Barbara Streisand.
Haven't seen this guy mentioned. Great voice. Not so great musical choices.
Jackie Wilson -in
Sam Cooke-in
Tony Williams-in
in the top 20 if not 15
David Ruffin with Teddy Pendergrass not far behind
Sorry for the double dribble but I just found this rare footage of one of the greatest performers of the last century.
