depends on how clear your route is...on how dense the tree cover is or how cloudy it might be outside..or other interferences.
You didnt add me on myspace so shut the hell up.
thanks! its about the same cloud coverage though, and even one time i ran in a 5k and it was USAtrack&field certefied and it said 3.24 mi. instead of 3.1... so idk, maybe its just mine?
i don't even have a myspace, and how do you know who i am?
So youre saying you are a whore?
i am most deffinantely not a whore. and why do people like you have to say rude comments like this, we come to lets run for good people and good advice. unlike you who doesnt even say anything expect nag people and are very annoying.
Yea it can be off sometimes
mine is only off when I cut sharp corners in crappy coverage areas.. drives me nutz when I look at my route and rather than taking a 90 turn.. you see me running for 30 seconds at a 45 degree angle..
otherwise pretty freakin accurage..
For those who previously replied. Which Garmin do you have? Which is more accurate (305 or 405 or are they the same)?
okay, thanks! and yeah i was just wondering, maybe i took wide turns or something that added extra milege? and i have the 305, but i heard the only diff. is the heart rate thing or w/e and the 405 is red and the 305 is a blue/black? and also the battery life i think? and does anyone know how to download all your routes on the comp.?
I have forerunner 305 and 405, plus the edge 305 cycling computer.
The short of it is that you need to set the unit up to record every second, not on "smart mode", and you need to have "auto pause" turned off.
If you do that, you will generally get the same reading for a given route within 0.1 of a mile.
oh wow thats awesome? but how do you do that, i am kind of new to it, but does it come on smart mode, or auto pause or whatever, thanks!
