I ran the London Marathon in disappointing 2:59.I went thru 10 miles in 65mins and 1/2 way in 85mins on target for a 2:50 planned pace. I did'nt feel comfortable running 6:30 minute miles even after 5 or 6 miles. I ran a 59 min 10miles road race 5 weeks before london. I ran 2:56 for a marathon 3 years ago again slowing considerable in the 2nd half, I also ran 76min 1/2 marathon 4 weeks before that marathon.
I would be grateful for some help or advice in trying to translate my 10mile and 1/2 marathon times into a decent marathon?
Sample week of training:
Mon: 6m @7min pace
Tues: 3X3k @10k pace
Wed: 10miles @7min pace
Thurs: 10miles @6:40ish pace
Fri: 8miles @7:15 pace
Sat: 5miles @ 7:30 pace
Sun: 20 miles @ 7:10pace
