What I don't like about the show is that, much like Crossfire, it makes everyone watching think that they too will be thought of as an expert if they just shout their opinions and interrupt a lot.
Man, its a show about sports!
If you can't yell and interrupt while having an argument about opinions on sports, then what kind of fun is it?
There are no objective measurements that "Dook sucks" or that Michigan is better than Ohio State. Well researched views? What are they writing a term paper? Sports is about yelling and interrupting and generally having a good time, all while being good natured about it.
That's what makes PTI such a great show - the guys jab back and forth with each other, but they genuinely like and respect each other. It's good natured ribbing here and there. It's like the arguments you have with your buddies about the "best quarterback ever" or some other fictional category that means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Of course, guys like you who don't, won't, or can't appreciate that probably endear yourselves to conversations by quoting track times ad naseum..."Umm, Bekele's last lap was 60.2 NOT 60.3!" or some crap like that.
Next time, relax a little. Sports are fun and are entertainment, they're not made to be stuffed in a library and spoken about with hushed voices and calm demeanors. Hell, that's why beer makes sports so much better.
If you represent a significant portion of people your age, I just can't believe the pussification of this board, and our youth in general. Al Qaeda really has won then.
