Hi, I've had IT band problems on and off for almost a year now. I came back too quickl from that and I think now I've gottem myself patellar tendonitis. It hurts right where my patellar tendon connects to my shinbone. I want to get back to running as soon as I can. Right now, I can run about a mile before it starts to hurt pretty badly.
Is this the type of injury I can run through, and if it is, what should I do?
Does DMSO help recovery or is it just a painkiller (I've been using it some)?
Is there any kind of stretching I can do to recover faster?
I usaully run on sidewalks. Would running on a softer surface or getting really soft shoes help much?
