Does anyone know what the official 2.5 mile course HS record at Van Courtland Park is. I think that Marty Liquori ran 11:51, but I'm not sure.

tommy gruenwald from F-M ran 12:10.6 last year just minutes after Craig Forys broke the 23 year old record with 12:10.7
I'm pretty sure that at last year's Manhattan Invite Craig Forys took the record in 12:10.7 and then 12 minutes later in the next heat Tommy Gruenwald ran a 12:10.6.
Both above posters are correct.

Really, I thought only one of them was.
Thats kind of a strange thing to think. They both said the same thing...
craig forys broke it with a 12:10.7 but then tommy gruenewald ran 12:10.6 later that day to break forys' record
I think he runs the 800.
where is Gruenwald now?
Stanford
Thanks for prompt info
Link to top times at VCP. The record actually belonged to Brad Hudson of North Hunterdon HS (set as a soph!), from back in 1983. Stood for decades, and then broken in consecutve races, minutes apart, as noted.
Actually, what happened was, Craig Forys ran 12:10.7, and then in the very next race, Tommy Gruenewald broke that new record by .1 seconds. Hope that clarifies it for everyone.
they should update that records page, so that it includes Craig Forys breaking it with 12:10.7 followed by Tommy Gruenewald breaking THAT with 12:10.7.
Actually, Tommy Gruenewald ran a 12:10.6... ironically, earlier in the day, Craig Forys broke the previous record by running 12:10.7 Thus, both had the record at some point during their career; however, Tommy G has it now by 0.1 seconds.
Does anyone know what race webb ran his 12:18 in? I didn't think it was VCP, and I know it was his junior year.
"VAN CORTLANDT"
It's only the most-run cross-country course in the U.S.--do you think we could try to get the name right?
"Cortland" is a small State college in Upstate NY.
"Courtland" is nowhere that I know of.
"Van Cortlandt" is a park in the Bronx.
refer to the above link in this thread...
