found these on a friend's blog. any others in the first 20,000?
* Cesar Melo (Mexico) 26:23 for the first 5k, missing until 35k, "finished" in 3:04:15. Impressive to speed up from 8:30 to 7 minute miles.
* Pau Verd LLop (Spain) 1:55 at 1/2, missing until 40k, 3:28 finish. Nice negative split Pau. (now let's just move an L from your last name and put it in your first name.)
* Roderik Groenweg (Netherlands). 2:10 at 1/2, missing from 25k-40k, finished in 3:52. Roddy managed to pick up his pace from 10/mile for the first 25k to 7/mile. Maybe he flew over the mats.
* Bernhard Krischer (Germany). 1:58 at half, missing from 25-40k, finished in 3:52. Funny how everyone gets faster when the mats malfunction. In Bernie's case, he was running consistent 27/5k and then sped up to 25/5k.
* Jean-Christophe Cochard (France) 4:01. Ran a subtle negative split, but also missed the mats at 30, 35 and 40k.
* Alfred Balkema (Netherlands). 2:17 at 1/2, 2:56 at 25k, missing until the finish. Managed to do 1:48 for the 2nd half while apparently bounding so high over the mats that he didn't register.
* Johannes Nobel (Netherlands) 2:22 at 1/2, missing from 25-40k, 4:08 finish. Enjoy the subway Johannes?
* Hubrecht Den Haan (Netherlands) same time as Johannes at the 1/2 and finish, and missing the same splits. What's Netherlandian for "cheater"?
* George Pardo (NY). Holding a solid 14 minute/mile pace for the 1st 10k, then missing to the finish at 4:15. Finally a New Yorker. I knew we could cheat with the best of them.
* Zafar Shahbaz (NY) 2:06 first half, walked to a 2:52 for 25k, then finished in 4:19.
* Marilyn Rivera (NY) 2:22 at half, 2:57 at 25k, missed all subsequent mats, finished in 4:20. Nice job holding a 7 minute mile over the last 10 miles
* David Christenberry (AL). 2:22 at half, missed the rest of the mats and ran 1:58 for the 2nd half.
* Ezio Tengattini (Italy). 4:22 finish. Sadly, his chip was defective until the very last mat.
* Michael Schmiltz (Italy) 3:06 first half. 1:17 second half.
* Arianna Lazzaro (Italy) ditto
* Chiara Villa. (Italy) 3:04 for the first half. 1:24 for the second half.
