If you need a good laugh, read this thread on Ritz: http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=2187496&page=1I will hit the highlights:
The problem with Ritz is that he has proven to be injury prone and that lack of durability shows up in many ways in the marathon. It shows up in the training and the race itself.
He'll run well, top 5, but I don't think he'll qualify
But I don't believe he has the experience and event wisdom to last vs. this field.
People will look at Ritz's training and pronouce him some demi-god capable of walking on water, and "unbeatable" come the trials. They're wrong.
I just don't get this crazy Ritz fan club over one workout. Ritz is totally unproven in the marathon!
if Ritz cracks the top 5 it would be a great day
Ritz has no chance.
Best,
The Prince of Darkness
