Serious question here.
What do blacks in other countries call themselves? Are they African-Canadians? African-Mexicans? African-Britians? African-German?
Just curious.

I think they call themselves people.
but not in this country!
I don't know, but it is a stupid and incorrect designation. Is Colleen DeRouck (sp?) african American?
Anyone born an American citizen in this country is not African-American. Colleen DeReuck, a caucasian American formerly South African, is more legitimately African-American than American-born blacks.
What if you are white and African-American? That would ruffle some feathers!

You mean pretty much anyone who came from North Africa?
8/10
simple yet elegant
There was recently some dumbass reporter who kept saying "African Americans" when referring to Africans in Africa.
I've never seen anything like that on this blog.
"The term 'African American' has also been misused by some in lieu of 'Black', regardless of an individual's nationality, ethnicity or geography. For example, during the 2005 civil unrest in France, CNN anchorwoman Carol Lin referred to the rioters as "African Americans""
French African-Americans?
Aired November 6, 2005 on CNN regarding the riots in France:
CHRIS BURNS: But even after what Chirac said, we're seeing more violence. What you could point out, though, is that there - at this point, about half as many vehicles torched as the night before. So you might call that progress, Carol.
CAROL LIN: Hard to say because it's been 11 days since two African-American teenagers were killed, electrocuted during a police chase, which prompted all of this.
I think we should all just be Americans. Screw the hyphen.
"Distinguished African American Student" award. Some students pushed for a white kid who had recently moved from South Africa. In other words, he was factually African American, more so than the other candidates. The posters touting the white kid were deemed "insensitive" and "offensive" by the school administration, who handed out some suspensions.

Every human being is African. All human beings can trace their ancestry back to the same mother and father in Africa. There is no such thing as race.

You can go back even farther. Why stop with proto-hominids and proto-primates? We are all little invertebrate sea creatures.

No, other races of people have been identified all over the world and in many cases were intelligent and 'human' in many ways.
Some were believed to be very tall and large, giants, goliath etc, and many skeletons over 10ft have been found of actual hominids. These types are basically large humans in terms of physiology. Many examples of large giant skeletons have been found in human form all over the world, and many ancient texts describe these people today. As far as any of us are concerned this is probably true.
Another race identified was average size, with enlargened skulls more or so, 'cone heads'. It is believed many of these peoples intermarried with ancient royalty, and also possessed great intelligence. Many examples of these skulls have been found throughout the world, but large numbers in the middle east where possibly entire civilizations of them existed.
Queen nefertiti is also depicted as having an enlarged skull as well as many other kings and queens of ancient nations. Many of these peoples it is thought engaged in incest to retain the genes of their forebears, and that the bloodlines of european royalty today contain these traits. It is interesting on a number of European aristocracy that they have enlarged heads of this type.
As far as any of us are concerned, this race of people is mostly mixed with human genes.
Myths also abound about about blue, 'copper' based blood similar to sea creatures, but as far as anyone can tell, these are just myths. Most copper based blood individuals would be at an extreme disadvantage in a survival situation due to the lower oxygen carrying capacities of their blood. It is also theorized that the trait for blue eyes came from a race similar to these myths.
The only way to determine if these other races exist or parts of them still do in royalty would be genetic testing of them and many other normal individuals to test and isolate their genes.
If anything, this would probably make anyone carrying a trait a 'superstar' overnight. The truth is many of them probably already qualify in that regard.
have a pleasant evening.
If you feel like knowing more, google nephilim and research the bible verses on this subject, which is truely fascinating.
