Without giving out too much info, I'm a distance runner in college and my coach changed this summer. I really liked my old coach, felt like he was one of the best coaches out there for me personally. I improved tremendously under him and he had proven track record. Our new coach came in and while he did not have as proven a record, he seemed like a solid coach. However I'm struggling to run well under him. I'm not having a terrible season but it's not great either. The new coach has a pretty different coaching style than my old one, both personality and training. I used to be constantly motivated by my old coach just from regular conversations but my new coach just isn't too inspiring. I'd like to accept him and run well under him but I guess I just can't seem to let go. How did some of you deal with coaching changes?
