Why do so many people from San Francisco love bonds. I think the support he receives is a black eye on the city. Is it really just such a liberal city that has no morals or feels that it doesnt have the right to assess the morals of someone else?

They are fans...fanatics... and Bonds has helped the team win some games over the last 15 years. "He may be an a-hole, but he's OUR a-hole" may be how the SF fans view him. Four straight MVPs didn't hurt, either.
my friend, a giants fan says, "he's not the only one."
i say, "but he's the only one breaking hank aaron's record."
It's funny that you equate liberal with "no morals"...
How long has he played for the Giants now? He is a fixture there.
Also, when you talk to a lot of the fans there, they explain that drugs are/were widespread in baseball and it's not fair to single him out. He just happened to be better than everyone else. Bonds undoubtedly hit HRs against pitchers that were juiced too.
Do you think he would have the same support in Bozeman Montana?

Yes, I think he would. The reason would be the same in situations where a reviled player is traded to or signs with another team. Fans who taunt and vilify a player not on "our" team suddenly is accepted and defended against detractors. I have seen this many times before and would claim that this behavior is consistent with the average fan.
Besides, unless you live in the SF Bay Area, you probably won't have much of a chance to see those of us who despise him. We aren't at the televised games, aren't writing for the local papers, and just don't voice our opinion much for fear of engaging in a conversation with someone who doesn't understand the benefits of recovery drugs--among others.

you're right, b/c bonds had at bats against juiced pitchers means its ok for him to hit HRs against unjuiced pitchers. dumb logic. who knows what pitchers are jucied. barry for all we know could have 0 home runs against juiced pitchers, or he could have 756 home runs against juiced pitchers. just b/c someone might juice doesn't make it right.
dude, Hank Aaron was probably hopped up on cocaine all the time, who gives a crap.
Do you actually think guys who hang out at baseball games constantly and think the fate of a baseball team is crucially important are "liberals?" And do you even think most of those fans are from the city of San Francisco itself? Think again.

First, you have to prove that he was juiced. Possibly.
Then, you have to prove that he was juiced when it was banned. Which you can't. He is the most tested person in MLB, there is no way he has been juicing since the tests started.
Until then, you simply look like a whiny cry-baby and an ignorant fool.
