I'm going to be training for the september 08 marathon. I've been training but I've been lacking in consistency. So, today will start my official training. My goal right now is to maintain 80 mpw. I will be giving updates at least every two weeks.

buena suerte.
What city do you live in?
Is there any prize money?
Let me get this straight, you have about 1 month to train to win this marathon?
Is this the Troll City Marathon in Trollsville, NY? First prize is a week's cruise on a trawler?
We are in 2007.
ha, oops. Someone needs to learn how to read numbers, and then calendars. Before you try and say stupid things to the original poster, maybe you should make sure you comprehend what he's saying.
Dude, you really gotta train hard, because if you win you are gonna get laid nonstop.
Why are you training for over a year if you're already having motivation problems? Why don't you target a race closer to the present instead of 13 months away. It's hard for anybody to focus on one race for that long.
4 months before your target race...up your mileage to 100 mpw.....2 a day workouts.....a race or 20 miler twice a month....6 x 1 mile interval workout that gets progressively faster as you get towrds your goal.
yeah, thats great advice to run 2:40... you f***ing idiot.
You have no clue to what type of training he/she is doing. Why are you just throwing out useless advise when they are not asking for it?
Everybody's always fussing about "motivation problems." Either you want to train to the best of your ability and possibly win the race, or you f***ing don't.
