Nike has backed off its statement that Michael Vicks new shoe will not be released. The shoe, renamed the "greyhound" will now be released as scheduled. His new "pitbull" line of Under Armour apparel will be delivered to stores two weeks earlier than the planned August date to take advantage of the media frenzy that has been going on.
Arthur Blank has reported that decreasing sales of fencing and plywood at his Home Depot stores has forced him to put Vick on the trading block. "The battle in Ohio may become vicious", stated anonymous NFL insiders. The Cleveland Browns would love to have Vick playing in front of their infamous Dawg pound while the Bengels could cement their place in sports history alongside the Oakland Raiders and the Portland Jailblazers by adding Vick and his federal indictment to their team.
When contacted at his home, Vick reiterated his innocence and looks forward to his day in court. "When the truth comes out that my family and I had made it our life work to rescuing these poor animals who had been so mistreated in the past and I was using my monetary means to nurse these poor animals back to health, it will make the federal gov't look more foolish than what happened in the Duke rape fiasco. The humane society and Peta will be asking me to be their spokesman when they realize I am on their side and their overzealous rush to judgement has harmed the very animals we are all trying to protect and nurture."
