Good, bad, mediocre? I haven't been able to see a pair, other than on-line, but they do appear to be less bulky than last year's model.

Interested as well. I heard the Vomeros have improved significantly...
Check out some of these reviews...
Most of them real, real, bad...
It is hard for me to respect almost any of the reviews. Why would you wear brand new shoes in a 5k, 10k race. Also, I highly doubt that one or two runs in a shoe would give you fasciitis or any of the numerous other ailments that these "joggers" are complaining of. I'd like to hear what some of the people on this board think of the Pegasus.
I'll probably be trying them out soon. I don't know why so many people hated last years model. It was one of the only shoes I was really comfortable with. Mizunos, asics, and adidas have never done as well for me. I'll give a report on how they are in a few days.

I agree with this 100%. However, there seemed to be a very common theme of all of the forefoot tread wearing down within 50 miles. There is no excuse for Nike to have produced a shoe where this happens.
i got 200miles in last 3 weeks and they are still perfect. Way better then 2006 ones so no complaints so far and they still look brand new
How would you describe the fit and feel? I never bought a pair of 06's, but thought they seemed very bulky when I tried them on. They felt like a big man's shoe and not a "runner's" shoe.
WTF is Nike doing to running shoes? They are adding all that pointless fabric that looks like shite and the Pegasus keep getting worse every year. Can they just go back to a simple look and feel like the 2000 and 2004 pegs?
most of those reviews are terrible. this peg fits and functions like the older ones - it's good. the 2006 was a terrible shoe.
I've worn my pair on three runs and they feel fine. It takes a couple of weeks for me to form an opinion on a shoe. So... so far so good.
They arent the best shoe Ive ever run in but they certainly arent the worst. The shoe isnt very deep tough and it sometimes hurts my instep. I have almost 200 miles on them and they are holding up really well.
2002 version was my favorite.
I havent worn the pegasus out for a run yet but i work in a running store and i know the shoe is a vast vast improvement from the older models. nike slimmed it down so its a lot less bulky than the 2006 model. it also has a good amount of cushioning so while i am not a huge nike fanatic it is definitely one of the best they have put out

What do you mean by "isn't very deep?" Thanks.
I'm guessing that this is in reference to a shoe's "vertical volume", or the amount of spece in the shoe for the foot. Some shoes have more upper thanothers, and with runners with high insteps or orthotics, this can be a critical fit issue.
... an' I mean that.
It is the same as calling it a "low volume" shoe?
