I have a question for the Masters runners out there. How many of you have reduced or eliminated the 10k's, 1/2 marathons, and marathons that you did when you were younger and have instead gone back to the track to race between 1500-5000 meters? I'm finding it harder to get pumped up for a 1/2 marathon when i'll be 4-6 minutes off my lifetime bests. However, I find it easier to deal with racing slower over the shorter distances. Maybe its mental that b/c im within a minute of my 5k pr it just doesn't seem so bad. What do you all think?
