I noticed that the Head Coach of XC and assistant track and field as been posted on the US track and field/xc website for the Marquette program. I thought that they had already filled this position. The head coach from the University of Redlands accepted an assistant position there, at least that is what it says on the Redlands website. Any info. would be great!
Mike Erb has taken the position as asst track/field coach.
He resigned effective July 13.
I assume that means the Head Marquette job has been offered to someone as I would expect that person would have some say in his assts.
The Marquette XC & Distance Track position has not been filled. In fact, it has just now been put on the NCAA web-site:

They are still in the very early stages of the interview process.
i was given inside info regarding the redlands guy; he came to MU as a volunteer asst. (his wife got a job in milwaukee) at the time i received the info his status was volunteer (this was 1 day prior to jurek's resignation).

Mike Erb is a sprints, jumps, hurdles coach and Marquette is looking for a cross country/distance coach. They already have a sprints, jumps, hurdles coach and do not have a position open for that job, so I am guessing Mike will still be a volunteer coach for now.
Whats the pay like for the open job?
