Yeah, he clearly had a bad race. And now he's going to go home, train, and try to race better next time out. Same thing anyone does.
He he.. he was mouthing off for so long. Well deserved ass kicking.

heh heh If he were a black fella mouthing off (which they are prone to do) you'd say nothing. Everyone will have to see what happens in the big one. If KB runs the 5k I don't think he'll win. I think he and Mottram will medal but not win.

Lagat. He's got the speed and strength - if he gets his ass in gear. KB can pump all the drugs Hermens can dish out, but he'll never be a sub 3:30 runner, while Lagat is definitely capable of sub 12:50 which puts him in range of 7:20's. Buster? At his best he can run under 7:30. Lots of self hate here. Good to see you can't step back and ask yourselves who has made you incapable of judging things on your own. Amusing indeed.

How better to tell a mouthy Aussie picking on your little brother to Shut the F*** up....
After watching that last kilometer, does anyone else feel ridiculous about thinking that Mottram might beat Bekele?

Kipchoge, Sihine, Kipchirchir Komen- (7:25-7:28)
close:
Webb, Lagat (7:28-7:30)
a little further back:
Teg, Kaouch, Tariku, Mottram (7:31-7:33)
Mottram will at least give credit to kenny. Some 'SOME' of sprinters from america.. don't give credit to there competitors. No CLASS!
The african runners have to run against all obstacles inluding the instutional racism where we are told that our domination of a sport is not good!
What the HELL!!!. what are we supposed to do!! give up and not run... let mottram win???. Look how Ritz run that race.
Mottram is a real BITCH! and this should shut him up for a while.
All this BS is so dumb, if anyone feels " redic" for thinking that buster could beat KB then what the f*** was the point of all this discussion, and the fact that there has been 20 posts in this thread in the last 2 hours should speak for itself... it was going to be a great race
I mean, it seems like common sense to me, nothings ever a lock. And people choose to make different races of different importance to them. Even so, I guess if KB is that much better then everyone he should never has to race again ..because whats the point right?
In what other sport do we have people analyzing the most minute part of a person down to a microbiological level to try and best guess how someoone could potentially be better then a competitor or want to win more. Let the competitors be, what if he had a bad dinner last night. His stomach isnt any different then ours, christ.
I think that must have been a great race and BK finally went after it in the race of his choosing. Just wish I coulda seen it on TV.
And all this garbage about BUSTER getting his mouth shut? Dont be so condesending and lame, he still came in second and is on the top of the running world right now. He thinks talking big motivates him and his competitiors in a way that fosters the best running enviroment for him. So I doubt he got his " big mouth shut" at all

What do you mean, "we"? Who are you?
It doesn't bother me that almost all of the best distance runners are african, but there's little question that, in the U.S., it has a negative effect on the general public's interest in world-class distance running. Referring to that as "institutional racism" is neither accurate nor particularly helpful.
ITS amazing how Mottram was walking out of the stadium after being completely destroyed... not to mention that Bekele didn't need to run a 52 or 53 last lap but only a 56-57ish to beat Mottram by almost 9 seconds. that easily could have been much fast if it wasn't for the 2nd kilometer at 2:33.
and...I haven't heard comments from Bekele, just letting the race do the talking unlike some runners....the Big Mazungo
"Institutional racism" is a myth cooked up by white-hating marxist turds. It implies racism where none exists in order to explain away failure. For example, if a black is criminal thug because he's simply a vile bastard, he's not to blame. It's "institutional racism". If he can't pass an exam because he's not smart enough, it's instead blamed on institutional racism. If he succeeds anywhere, then the term can be used to further glorify his achievement If anything, the skids are greased in many areas for those who are able to fall back on charges of 'racism' if they fail. It's never their fault no matter what they screw up or how badly they fail. If they do well, it's because they overcame more than others, which is generally horse-shit these days, especially in something as overall meaningless as athletics.

If you didn't see the race, then you probably don't realize just how overwhelming Bekele's victory was. Bekele was plainly just loafing at 60-61 seconds per lap for the first 2K. For 2K, I found myself thinking how remarkable Komen's WR was. After the last K, I found myself thinking that Bekele could probably come very close to Komen's record right now. Very, very dominating performance by Bekele.
